The Timiskaming First Nation Language Revitalization Program is a community-driven initiative dedicated to strengthening, sharing, and living in Anishinābemowin for generations to come. Officially launched in December of 2025, the program brings together documentation, resource and materials development, mentor-apprentice style learning, and community programming, and is guided by direct community input. Every activity is grounded in Anishinaabe values, the Seven Grandfather Teachings, and the OCAP principles that protect the community’s rights to ownership, control, access, and possession of linguistic and cultural knowledge.
